Prof. Angelo Tatone

He graduated in his Bachelor in Jazz music in 2010 with honour in the Conservatorio A. Casella in L'Aquila, Italy. In 2015 he graduated in his Master study program in Jazz Guitar at the Conservatorio L.Refice in Frosinone, Italy.

He also graduated in the Diploma course at the Joseph Haydn Konservatorium in Eisenstadt where he is doing also his pedagogical studies.

 

In Austria he worked as mandoline player and percussionist in the Opernfestspielen St. Margarethen where he worked with many musical and film directors.

He attended many masterclasses between Tango, Jazz, Classical and Filmmusic in amsterdam, Vienna, Pescara, Nuoro. In 2012 he won with his own jazz quartet the national competition Podium Jazz.Pop.Rock...

 

As leader and player he did many concerts all around Europe: Germany (Sächsisches Mozart Gesellschaft - Chemnitz), Austria (Festspiel Stockerau, Albertina Museum, Multiversum Schwechat, Landes Museum Eisenstadt…), Italy (Auditorium Parco della Musica and Villa Celimontana Jazz Festival in Rome, Chieti Jazz Festival, and other festivals in Genova, Palermo…), Amsterdam Blue Note, Kulturhaus Sopron and many others.

He recorded in studio for films and theater. He played as well in television shows.

He founded in 2014, together with the violin player and composer Irene Malizia, the logo Variando Musica with which they are doing intensive pedagogical and concert activities.

He writes compositions and arranges for children ad school orchestras. He composes as well for various ensembles.

In June 2018 he will be playing and leading his ensemble in EYE2018 in the hemicyle of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. He won there, with his Improvisation project in field music and performing arts, a sponsoring by the EU Parliament as one of the best projects of 2018.

 

He teaches in many private and public music schools. Actually he is lecturer for guitar, music theory and artistic research laboratories at the JAM MUSIC LAB Private University in Vienna. At JAM MUSIC LAB he is also study dean and study coordinator in the Jazz&Pop Conservatory.

Furthermore he is active as guitar player in many ensembles in the musical scene in Vienna as well abroad
